As required by the Regulated Health Professions Act, NSOTR participates in a Quality Assurance Program for Regulatory Performance (QAPRP). This program is run by the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW). The results of the most recent assessment are now available on the DHW website. NSOTR was found to be fully compliant in all areas.
What is the QAPRP?
- The QAPRP is an assessment of Nova Scotia’s health regulators across a set of standards of good governance.
- These standards were established by a working group of representatives from Department of Health and Wellness and the Regulated Health Professions Network.
- Regulators must provide evidence showing they meet expected outcomes for good governance and best practices in regulation.
Further information can be found on the QAPRP website.
