2026/2027 Licence Renewal

The renewal period for the 2026-2027 licensing year has begun. Registrants may now submit a renewal application through your Online Portal.

Click here for a detailed Step-by-Step Guide to the renewal process, with pictures, helpful tips, and FAQs. At the end of this document you can find definitions of all of the options on the profile update form, if you are uncertain which option best applies to you.

You can expect two new questions on the renewal application this year. We are asking all registrants to declare:

  • the average number of hours they work per week in each of their employment positions, not including overtime; and
  • whether they are a shareholder, owner, or director of a professional corporation.

Completing the renewal process requires time and attention. Please plan to set aside enough time to complete all steps of the renewal process before May 15, 2026:

  1. Update your contact, professional, and employment information;
  2. Enter your Continuing Competency Learning Activities for the 2025/2026 year and complete a learning reflection;
  3. Complete a self-assessment form based on the Competencies for Occupational Therapists;
  4. Create and enter new Learning Goals for the coming year (2026/2027);
  5. Answer a series of declaration questions; and
  6. Pay your licensure fee.

As a reminder, any renewal requests completed after May 15, 2026 will be subject to a $100 late renewal fee. The final deadline to submit your complete renewal request is May 31, 2026.
